Character generator is a keyboard used to insert crawls at the bottom of the screen. For instance, "Thunder storm warning in Milwaukee County until 9 PM." This device has some options, character size and brightness, location where it will be displayed, and whether is crawling or stationary. The left screen is the preview, the right screen is broadcast.
